Editorial Standards
MineralRightsIQ publishes general education for mineral owners. Accuracy requires clear limits: a national article cannot determine a local title, a parcel value, a tax result, or whether a well will be drilled.
Source hierarchy
For material factual claims, we prefer controlling statutes and regulations, recorded instruments, state oil-and-gas regulators, federal agencies such as the Bureau of Land Management, the U.S. Energy Information Administration, the U.S. Geological Survey, and the Internal Revenue Service, then reputable secondary explanations. A source is linked near the claim when practical.
Property-specific claims
We label examples and general ranges, identify uncertainty, and do not present public activity near a tract as proof of ownership, value, drilling plans, production, or future income. Readers are directed to the responsible record and qualified professional.
Authorship and review
Content is published by the MineralRightsIQ Editorial Team unless a named author is shown. We do not imply professional credentials that a writer or reviewer does not hold. Material legal, tax, title, geological, or valuation conclusions are outside our editorial scope rather than presented as professional advice.
Dates, updates, and corrections
Articles display publication and update dates from the content record. We review pages when a controlling source changes or a supported correction is reported. Substantive corrections should update the page and its date; silent edits are limited to spelling, formatting, and broken links.
Independence
MineralRightsIQ does not buy minerals, make purchase offers, or adjust editorial conclusions for a mineral buyer. We publish no fabricated reviews, credentials, statistics, case outcomes, citations, or guarantees.
